Fabulous photos. I am currently writing a children’s book, Lucia the Princess Parrot, featuring all types of birds. Your photographs are motivating me to complete the book.
This is sthe most beautiful photograph in my life… How impressed me. I am still watching with my tears… Thank you for taking this picture and also sharing with us, this amazing moment fascinating so much, how great life… Blessing and Happiness, with my love, nia
Rainbow Lorikeets, very beautiful (but occasionally crabby) birds… can’t move for the buggers out in the wild here in Australia 🙂 In fact I have one as a pet. Don’t be complacent, they have sharp beaks 😉
I have a rainbow Lorikeet myself, and she loves a good cuddle. She pokes her head at you for a scratch and rubs her face down you if you arent giving her the love she wants.
Great photos! I love how animals can be so human 🙂 Outside my house, when I look through my window, I see some birds, and sometimes it seems like they’re a family! I really like when they look like they were hanging out together and the way they treat the others… Maybe, one day, I will see people acting in a good way. Just like them.
“I like those three pictures. Love, J Herman in Michigan, Apt 2026”
I brought up my WP dashboard and left to finish unloading the dishwasher. When I came back, my almost-six-year-old with high functioning autism had your beautiful pictures up on the screen. He really enjoyed them. Thank you!
The macaw photo is so powerful, totally humanises the bird. I don’t know how but you’ve taken photos that are almost like a perfect personality shot of the birds, simply amazing. Love Love Love.
Oh!!! I just run accidently to your blog, you have an amazing work, the pictures are gorgeous, the places, people, the contrast, really I just loved it!! Congratulations. 😀
The net has truly brought us all together … some sharing the beauty of God’s many creations and the others drinking it all in. Thanks…After so many people appreciating your pictures …my comment sounds like a repitition …but meant all the same..
Aww i used to have a pet lorikeet that acted like a cat – he’d come up to you looking for a pat or a scratch and of course the moment he got sick of you, he’d go in for the bite
I adore birds, especially parrots. When I left home, I also left two lovely, curious and chatty buggies and I miss them so much, so thank you for these pictures, I love the colours, the angle and the way they remind me of my feathery friends! 🙂 ^_^
What fantastic photos! The one you took of the three birds together is simply amazing. I recently visited the Denver Zoo and they have a fantastic Lorikeet exhibit. I managed to take some good pictures, but you’ve really captured the beauty and affectionate nature of the bird.
These photos are gorgeous. I went to Parrot Jungle here in Miami about 2 months ago and I was extremely scared to feed them. Mostly because I’m scared of birds but they are gorgeous.
Are these “just-in-time” lucky shots, or did you have such wonderful patience so as to sit and wait for the shot? Or…were you working with trained actors 🙂
I am confused about whom to praise; the photographer who captured this or the camera which captured this or the eyes which we can see this….OR the God who has designed such creatures so immaculately !!!
Thanks for sharing these captivating pics.
wow .. SO NICE ! I love your pictures 🙂
hmmm.. can i ask you a little favor? can you follow me ? I’m a college student, and our prof told us to gain followers, it is included for the grading system.. thanks a lot. I hope you can help me have more followers 🙂 THANKS 🙂
Beautiful and bright images, I love the photograph of the Rainbow Lorikeets hugging, we have an abundance of them where we live in Queensland thanks to the many native flowering trees growing in our suburb and watching their antics always makes me smile.
those are lovely! i love birds myself and in fact, i own a pair of african lovebirds which have almost the same colors as the ones in the photo.. i named them lemon (the yellow one) and lime (the green one).. they are so cute and yes, noisy haha! but it’s nice hearing them tweet..

Lovely rainbow lorikeets; but such pests here in Western Australia, where they are ousting locally native parrots like 28s. They’re also so raucous and noisy in the bigger flocks, and can seriously upset exam time for students if they feed in trees nearby. That said, it’s hard to be mad at them for long when they look that beautiful.
I used to volunteer in the bird department at the Oklahoma City Zoo, and I worked a lot with the Lorikeets. I love your pictures of them. They hold such a special place in my heart. 🙂
Love the bird’s colors! How they seem to cuddle each other in the first photo is something I would have preferred seeing than them being used to destroy the greedy pigs’ fortresses! Kodus for not making the birds angry! Lol!
wow… i wish those birds would come to my feeder. i still love my dingy brown new england birds, but these are so lovely! our birds don’t seem to hug much either. (-:
Hey, my first time here. Love your colourful birds! The first bird photos, are those Rainbow Lorikeets? There are plenty of them here in Australia. I love it when they rush to a tree in a frenzy as a group and noisily have their snacks and leave as a group!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful! They remind me the colourful butterfly garden that I visited in Stockholm – has so many colours, just like these birds , just on a different format 😀
Are those Rainbow Loris? When I was little I saw a picture in a book of these birds and names them my favorite animal. Their colors are so bright! Great photos.

Even birds can get cuddly. Remember to hug someone you love today.

Love the bird’s colors! How they seem to cuddle each other in the first photo is something I would have preferred seeing than them being used to destroy the greedy pigs’ fortresses! Kodus for not making the birds angry! Lol!
11/18/2011 at 20:39
Lovely colour. very nice.
11/18/2011 at 20:33
